Sabre, Stray & Halogenix - Oblique

"Many years from now when we look back, this tune will be a 'waypoint' of the times" - Goldie

Following from their first release on Noisia's Invisble imprint, Sabre, Stray & Halogenix take a soulful approach to their first release on Critical Music as a trio (CRIT061). Oblique shows once again the versatility and depth of emotion capable with music at this speed. The minimalistic nature of Oblique is what champions it. From the poignant vocals of Frank Carter IIII, to the well placed elements of "techier" drum & bass releases sitting perfectly above a sound-scape of tastefully time-stretched piano riffs and percussion hits, this release is proof that drum & bass can and is evolving from the heavy elongated bassline stereotype of the past and present.
